I originally created this deep green-blue shade to match the copper verdigris roof at Wright’s Kentuck Knob house, but it wonderfully evokes the colors of the Smokies at dawn, soft and cool.
I made a limited series of these vases and bowls by pigmenting my white porcelain, and layering it to create a stratified effect atop the warm speckled stoneware.
The exterior is brilliant unglazed clay, and the interior has a white gloss glaze.
