Using an earthy speckled stoneware clay rather than my usual porcelain, this one-of-a-kind bowl has a panorama that embodies the arid expanses of Southern Arizona.
The exterior is a delightful warm textured brown, and the interior has a red-as-sunset matte glaze.
This bowl features a short “hidden” foot, taken in part from an iconic teabowl shape — which causes the piece to appear to float above the surface on which it sits.
Fully functional for any food use, though many clients use these works as standalone statement pieces.

All pieces at Jowdy Studio are handmade from porcelain that is fired to over 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. All pieces are food-safe, and are microwave and dishwasher safe. However, we recommend careful handwashing.
