This vase blends my studies in color theory with my passion for the hues of sun-lit fishing boats and crab pots of coastal North Carolina, where I grew up.

I made a limited series of these vases and bowls by staining my white porcelain, and layering it to create a stratified effect. 

The exterior is brilliant unglazed porcelain, and the interior has a glossy clear glaze over the white clay.
